GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Dean Fabrizio, Lee County

1. Who is/was the most influential person in your coaching career? "I have been very fortunate to work for some very good head coaches during my career as an assistant. When I worked for Ken Edenfield, current offensive coordinator at Troy, I learned how to run and structure practice. Bill Gierke in Orlando was great at focusing on the things that mattered and not letting all the other stuff distract him or the team. Chip Gierke, who I worked for at Edgewater High School, was a master at motivating players. Jim Kremer, current Sonoraville head coach, taught me a lot about scheme and how to make adjustments. At Peach County, Chad Campbell had just a tireless work ethic that his coaches and players followed. All these guys have been major influences on me."

2. Who is the best Georgia player you ever faced? "This one is still very fresh in my memory. Adam Choice from Thomas County Central. He was such a great athlete and competitor. Was just so smooth running their offense." [Choice, a high school quarterback, is a freshman running back at Clemson.]

3. What is the best team you ever faced as a coach? "I know you aren't supposed to pick someone from this season, but this year's Colquitt County team is as good as I have coached against. Lots of speed and very well coached."

4. If you were Gary Phillips, the new head of the GHSA, what would be the first rule that you would try to change? "As someone who coached for many years in another state, I have great appreciation for the job the GHSA does. Obviously like everyone else there are a few minor things I would like to see tweaked, but for the most part I think the GHSA does an outstanding job."
