William DeVane, Hart County
1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach?"I don't have just one particular game as a coach or a player that stands out. Each game, whether a win or a loss, has significance in all I do as a coach. The next game I coach is always memorable."
2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why?"I've been extremely blessed to have great coaches in my life - my rec coach Mr. Limer, my high school coach Ray Durham, college coach Danny Ford, and I was drafted by the Miami Dolphins coached by Don Shula. I've taken a little from all of them to become the coach I am today."
3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto?"I have a ton: 'Lock and load baby,' 'It's time to rock 'n' roll,' 'Good 'ole Friday' and 'All right now!'"
4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed?"I would like to see the rules limiting the amount of contact at practice change. Hart County players have suffered seven concussions during this 2016 season and four during the 2015 season. My previous three years as head coach we had zero. Seems like with less contact, players are not accustomed to game-type contact."
