Teams from Gwinnett County or Region 1 have won or shared every state championship in the highest classification since 1995. That streak will continue when Region 1 representative Colquitt County travels to North Gwinnett tonight. Which schools were the last from outside of Gwinnett or Region 1 to win or share state titles in the highest class? (Answer Monday)

Answer to Thursday's question: West Rome is the school north of I-285 but outside of metro Atlanta that has won the most state championships. The Chieftains won five (1965, 1982-85) before closing in 1992. Among active schools, Cartersville and Calhoun are tied with four each.
