Business, Engineering, Science and Technology (B.E.S.T.) Academy broke into the Top 10 this week at No. 8 in Class AA after a 14-7 victory over Callaway. B.E.S.T., an all-male school, is the only Atlanta Public Schools team in the current Top 10, although Mays was ranked No. 10 in the preseason in AAAAA. It's rare for an Atlanta school to finish in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Top 10. Here is the last time that each current APS school made it.

*Carver - 1968 (No. 9)

Douglass - 2004 (No. 8)
