Southwest DeKalb's 22-12 victory Saturday against Redan gave coach Salter Fletcher and his team an emotional lift in the wake of a tragic start to the season. Southwest DeKalb coach Michael Tanks passed away just days into preseason practice following a stroke. Fletcher was named the interim replacement. Fletcher is one of 21 first-year coaches at their schools who opened with a victory.
