Rush Propst, head football coach of No. 1-ranked Colquitt County, injured himself Friday night in the Class AAAAAA semifinals against Mill Creek when he head-butted one of his  players on the sidelines. Propst was bleeding profusely almost immediately afterward, as seen on video below. The player, wearing a helmet, was uninjured.

What caused the head-butt is unclear. Colquitt County had just taken a 21-14 lead in a game that it won 52-31.

Propst, once of the nation's most widely known coaches, has led Colquitt County to seven straight semifinal appearances and a state title in 2014. The Packers are on a 29-game winning streak and are ranked in the top-five of several national polls.

Propst gained national acclaim while at fame at Hoover in Alabama, where he won 110 games and five state titles in nine seasons and was featured in the MTV reality series "Two-A-Days.''
