A quick glance at the five remaining unbeaten teams in Class AAAA:

Bainbridge (7-0, 2-0 1-AAAA): Coach Jeff Littleton's Bearcats are the only 7-0 team in AAAA. They have outscored opponents 234-57 this season, heading into Friday's game against Dougherty. Bainbridge and Dougherty are the only two teams with winning records in Division B of Region 1-AAAA. According to Georgia High School Football Historians Association, the Bearcats have never had an undefeated season in the program's long history.

Mary Persons (6-0, 2-0 2-AAAA): Coach Brian Nelson's Bulldogs have fought through tight games against Jackson and LaGrange, but have been dominant in their first two region games, beating Perry 42-14 and Howard 47-21. Mary Persons hosts Upson-Lee on Friday, before closing against Veterans, Baldwin and West Laurens. The Bulldogs' last undefeated season came in 1980.

Locust Grove (6-0, 2-0 4-AAAA): Coach Clint Sattefield's Wildcats are 6-0 for the first time in program history. They host Eagle's Landing on Friday.

Woodward Academy (6-0, 1-0 5-AAAA): Coach John Hunt's War Eagles have been dominant this season, despite losing star running back Elijah Holyfield to a foot injury. Woodward Academy is at Fayette County on Friday, before returning home for a showdown with perennial power Sandy Creek next week. The War Eagles have never finished a season undefeated.

Cartersville (6-0, 3-0 7-AAAA): Coach Joey King's Purple Hurricanes are rolling. They have outscored opponents 255-57 this season and have yet to be challenged in Region 7-AAAA play. They host Northwest Whitfield on Friday. Cartersville last finished the season unbeaten in 2000.
