Region tournaments are in the books, and the state-tournament draws are tentatively set. See those below.
Notice that in the boys draw, No. 1 McEachern and No. 2 Norcross are in the same quarter of the draw.
Then notice the girls draw, same thing - the potential for No. 1 Westlake vs. No. 2 Collins Hill in the quarters, not to mention No. 3 Norcross vs. four-time defending champion McEachern in another quarter.
Also check out below the game-winning shot in Friday night’s Region 7 boys final. Norcross beats Meadowcreek by one point on a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Meadowcreek was heart-broken, until it saw the bracket and that, ‘’Well, OK. This is a sweet draw!’’
Remember that the highest class has an at-large playoff berth. It’s assumed that Collins Hill will get the boys’ at-large berth. The girls’ at-large berth is too close to call. The GHSA will make a determination on Monday. It’s based on a points system.
