Former Georgia Tech running back Synjyn Days will play in the Medal of Honor Bowl, a pre-draft showcase game in Charleston, S.C. Former Tech guard Shaquille Mason was to play in the game, but decided against it.

Practice began on Monday. The game will be played Saturday at Johnson Hagood Stadium at The Citadel at 2:30 p.m. It will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.

It’s Days’ best chance to demonstrate his ability to play tailback in a pro-style offense. A great week for Days might mean getting an invitation into the Senior Bowl, where he’d have a chance to practice against better competition. According to a Medal of Honor Bowl tweet from last year, five participants in last year's game earned invites to the Senior Bowl.

Days will play for the American team. The National team, coincidentally, will be coached by former Tech coach Chan Gailey.

Former Tech defensive tackle Euclid Cummings played in the game last year, helping him get signed as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
