New Georgia Tech coach Josh Pastner, who said last week that he wouldn't hire an assistant coach who played golf, had some fun Wednesday with the stir his comments caused.

Pastner tweeted out a picture of himself with Tech golf coach Bruce Heppler at the school’s practice range.

Pastner fit in the trip to the range – not far from campus – in the midst of visits to local high schools, overseeing offseason practice and weekend trips to evaluate prospects. As he attempts to build momentum and support for his tenure, demonstrating a sense of humor can't hurt.

No word on whether Heppler would ever hire an assistant coach who plays basketball.
