Corey Dennis had been on the depth chart going into camp and receivers coach Buzz Preston spoke well of him Monday. … Wide receiver Darren Waller and other players suspended for the first two games (A-back Dennis Andrews and cornerback Lynn Griffin are others) are not on the depth chart. … Chris Griffin and Bryan Chamberlain have flopped tackle spots, as Griffin has been more comfortable and effective on the right side. True freshman Trey Klock is backing up Griffin, and walk-on Kyle Stallard has been making an impression in camp.

Defense: The alignment on the chart is a 4-3 as opposed to a 4-2-5. Tech concentrated on the 4-2-5 in the spring and made it its base defense, but used a 4-3 in the scrimmage Saturday, although coaches and players did not ascribe much meaning to it. Not sure what this means going forward. Depth charts aren’t necessarily a true reflection of alignment and order, but it’s interesting to note, at the very least.
