FLOWERY BRANCH – The Atlanta Falcons are set to take the field today for the first time under head coach Dan Quinn as they open their voluntary minicamp at 1:30 p.m. today.

The team, which is allowed an extra minicamp because it has a new coach, will practice from 1:10 to 3:30 p.m. with the first 30 minutes of practice open to the media. (We're going to petition the rookie coach for an extension! It's only minicamp! We need to get the fans some fast and physical updates!!!)

Quarterback Matt Ryan and selected players will be available on the field and Quinn will speak at the podium after practice.

Check back later on AJC.Com and MyAJC.com for stories, blogs and videos from today’s session.
