FLOWERY BRANCH -- Former Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon was banned from the NFL scouting combine.
After he getting pushed, he was caught on video slugging a women in the face in Norman, Oklahoma back in July of 2014. The victim suffered a broken jaw and cheekbone.
This happened before his freshman season and he was suspended. He received a one-year deferred sentence after reaching a plea deal to an assault charge.

He went on to have two successful season for the Sooners, but some NFL teams are steering clear of him.
However, he’s had workouts with 12 teams, including Cincinnati, Denver and Tampa Bay.
Mixon met with several teams during his pro day, where he had an impressive workout. A total of 56 people representing all 32 teams attended, according to Oklahoma.
“I think he’s an outstanding individual,’’ said his agent Peter Schaffer to USA Today Sports. “He’s been nothing but fantastic every step along the way with me. Everybody who’s come in contact with him has come away very impressed with his character and his demeanor and his positive attitude, as well as his love of football as well as his acknowledgement he’s made a mistake. I expect the people he meets with will come away with the same feeling.’’
The is a consensus that some team may pick Mixon in the second round, if not, then he won’t make it out of the third round.
Teams in need: Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Denver, Cincinnati, New Orleans and Detroit.
