UPDATE: Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said on Saturday the team is talking to Dashon Goldson's representative about signing with the today.

“We had him today and worked him out," Dimitroff said. "He had a nice workout and we’re in discussions with his representation."

FLOWERY BRANCH -- In the wake of the knee injury to rookie Keanu Neal, the Falcons are set to workout veteran safety Dashon Goldson on Sunday, the team confirmed.

Goldson, 31, is 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds. He's a nine-year veteran and two-time Pro Bowler with stops in San Francisco (2007-2012), Tampa Bay (2914-2014) and Washington (2015).

He was All-Pro in 2012.

Neal, who was injured in the third exhibition game against Miami on Thursday, is set to have knee surgery on Monday. He's slated to miss three to four weeks.
