Jan 11, 2014

The Falcons have hired former NFL player and coach Bryan Cox as defensive line coach, the team announced on Saturday.

After the 4-12 season, the Falcons fired defensive line coach Ray Hamilton.

Cox was the pass-rush specialist for Tampa Bay last season, but was not retained  by new coach Lovie Smith. He has coached with Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan in the past.
