Q: Who do you pattern game after?

A: Growing up I really liked Osi Umenyiora, Aldon Smith, Von Miller I'm a real big fan of, a lot of guys. A lot of time I just put on YouTube and watch film. Growing up I used to just sit back and watch the NFL. Now I really sit back and break down the game and look at how they pass rush. Working with Chuck Smith and watching film with him, a lot of them he worked with and taught them some of the moves. I look at the guys built like me."

Q: Can you maintain your weight? Get bigger to play on the line?

A: I can't put an exact number on it. I've weighed anywhere from 230 to 258 before. I can carry the weight, and can play at the weight.

Q: What been working on?

A: It starts with technique, leverage, hand placement, eye placement, just reading your tackle. A lot of that I learned at Nebraska and I'll carry that to the next level. … I really want to get better at my technique. I think I have decent technique, but as far as setting the edge, I want to get better with my hand placement, my foot placement and my leverage.

Q: How much room for you to grow?

A: My best years are ahead of me. I think I have done a lot with the time I have had, and I played two years of JUCO, my second year I got hurt. But really I played one year of junior college and three years of college in general. For me, I am still new to the position, so I am still learning things and I am real coachable. I am real smart so I pick up things real quickly. The sky is the limit for me.

Q: Which scheme do you prefer?

A: I think I could do both, the 3-4 or the 4-3. I am used to both, whether it's up and dropping into coverage or having my hand in the dirt and trying to get off the ball.
