FLOWERY BRANCH – Fans attending today's game against the Chicago Bears can help Georgia's domestic violence victims by donating their old wireless phones to Verizon's Hopleline program at the Falcons Landing outside of the Georgia Dome starting at 2:25 p.m.

Verizon Wireless volunteers will be at the Hopeline Tent on Falcons Landing collecting used phones before the game.

This is the 11th consecutive year Verizon Wireless is teaming up with the Falcons' to support victims of domestic violence.

All phones collected during the drive will be used to support Georgia-based DV organizations and survivors.

Through HopeLine, no-longer-used wireless phones, batteries and accessories are recycled, or refurbished. Verizon Wireless can then award cash grants and donate wireless phones with prepaid airtime to non-profit advocacy agencies and law enforcement agencies to aid survivors of domestic violence right here in Georgia.

All fans who donate an old wireless phone and/or accessories will receive a Falcons branded bag

For more than a decade, Verizon Wireless has been committed to raising awareness of domestic violence and working to prevent it. Since its national launch in 2001 the HopeLine phone recycling and re-use program has collected more than 10.8 million phones. The phones collected were either recycled in an environmentally friendly way, with the proceeds benefiting domestic violence victims. HopeLine has distributed more than 180,000 wireless phones and cash grants totaling more than $21.4 million to domestic violence agencies and organizations throughout the country.
