Each day leading up to the start of training camp, we’ll look at a major issue that faces the Falcons and head coach Dan Quinn as he’s set to enter his third season with the team.
FLOWERY BRANCH -- To the best of our knowledge, none of the Falcons had their dog kidnapped and held for ransom. (Cowboys)
No player was involved in an altercation at a bar/club. (Cowboys).
No one has been suspended by the league for a game or more. (Bengals and a several other teams.)
With the team set to report for training camp today, the players appear to have done an excellent job of “protecting the team” as coach Dan Quinn requested and often refers to as the Brotherhood.
At the conclusion of minicamp back in June, Quinn addressed the team and then had a longer session with the rookies before releasing them for the offseason.
“We reminded our guys that rule No. 1 for us is protecting the team and having a conscience for that all the way,” Quinn said. “We have a good break here, and I want everybody lined up, ready to go and recharged in (little over) a month’s time. We have a hell of a division that we are going to go fight for.”
Finally, the Falcons hit the field on Thursday and we're back to some live football.
