The Georgia Department of Public Health is cautioning travelers who are headed to countries affected by the Zika virus, including Mexico, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Martinique, Panama, Paraguay, Suriname and Venezuela.
Pregnant women or women trying to get pregnant should not travel to areas with ongoing Zika virus transmission, according to state public health officials.
Although no locally-transmitted cases of Zika have been reported in the United States, there are cases reported in returning travelers. Imported cases of Zika could spread the virus in parts of the country.
Travelers should check CDC travel advisories and protect against mosquitos, the state public health department said.

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines has said travelers with flights booked to Zika-affected countries may qualify for a refund or change of travel plans.
