Marlon Character commits to South Carolina

A day after telling the AJC that he nearly committed to Auburn this week, Marlon Character has chosen to commit to South Carolina.

Character, a 4-star defensive back from Grady High School, listed the Tigers as his frontrunner with the Gamecocks trailing.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder took an unofficial visit to South Carolina on Saturday and was expected to make a decision shortly after that trip.
