Georgia can keep it's state-of-the-art practice facility.

LSU is taking it to another level.

The school unveiled plans for a man-made “lazy river” as part of an $85 million rec center project they hope to complete by fall 2016.

The recreation project on the Baton Rouge, La., campus will includes an outdoor adventure center, a rope-climbing course and a 21,000-square-foot sun deck – not to mention the “lazy river” which will spell out “LSU” letters.

All that fun will be paid through student fees, the schools defends.

These schmanzy pools are nothing new.

Texas Tech University has a 645-foot “lazy river,” too.

At Auburn students can soak in a 45-person paw-print-shaped hot tub or scale a 20-foot wet climbing wall before plunging into the pool.

The University of Iowa’s recreation center features both a lazy river and a 25-person hot tub.

And the list lazily goes on, and on, and on …
