ATHENS — The "Next Generation" series on some of Georgia's select incoming freshmen begins this week. Linebacker Roquan Smith is first up in the series.
In the meantime, here’s some video I shot while visiting with offensive lineman Sam Madden of Barnegat, N.J. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive lineman actually moved along with his entire family to Braselton last month. As one might glean from that, Big Sam is part of a close-knit family his mom and dad Kathleen and David and sisters Rachel (20) and Naomi (22).
Madden trained at Hammer Smith Sports Performance Training in Norcross in the weeks leading up to his enrollment at UGA. Here’s a little of what Madden had to say when I visited with him. …
