Ah, spring. The time when we shake off the cobwebs of winter and begin to show our faces to the world. This is the time of year when you grab all your friends, or your sweetie, and head to the nearest patio for some drinks and fun. When the days are longer and the sun is at full blast, all we crave is a refreshing cocktail. The bar managers all around Atlanta are gearing up for the change in season by switching their cocktail menus toward these refreshing libations. Below are just a few of our favorites. Sidle up to the bar and order one of these.

Whether you love to sip cocktails or beer, we find the perfect restaurants to enjoy at Atlanta Eats. Check us out every weekend on Peachtree TV. We air every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30. You’ll have plenty of time to make your dinner plans for that night! Come hungry…and thirsty!

St. Cecilia Thank You For Being A Friend
St. Cecilia was the patron saint of musicians. So it's no surprise that Ford Fry's restaurant of the namesake names all of their cocktails after songs. The Thank You For Being A Friend is a mixture of New Amsterdam vodka, Aperol, coqiue americano (a fortified wine, house made strawberry syrup and lemon juice.) Garnished with basil syrup, it's the perfect summer fruit salad in glass. It will take you back to those days of sharing cheesecake with girlfriends in your Miami kitchen. Or at least sharing some incredible pasta at the bar of St. Cecilia.

Osteria Mattone Negroni
You don't have to have fresh berries to have a refreshing cocktail. Osteria Mattone is making a classic Italian cocktail behind their bar that will have you grinning ear to ear. The Negroni is made of Plymouth gin, Campari and vermouth. Simple. Classic. Perfect. If you want something a bit more bubbly, they are also serving up a killer Sgroppino with vodka, lemon sorbet, lemon juice and Prosecco. It practically begs to be sipped on their impressive front patio overlooking Canton Street.

Le Meridien Perimeter  London Calling
This one of for all you gin lovers out there! And really, with a name like London Calling, there's no way it could be made with anything else. This refreshing libation is made with Tuthilltown Half Moon Orchard gin, balsamic reduction, St. Elder and strawberries. The balsamic reduction gives it a beautiful rich flavor, so don't be scared off by it! Grab a few and head out to the patio to sink into a comfy couch and some great company.

Woodfire Grill Won't That Be Nice
Tucked away on Cheshire Bridge, Woodfire Grill still remains one of our favorite spots to grab a meal, and a cocktail. Won't That Be Nice is great bridge between the coldwWinter that demands brown liquors and the bright flavors of spring. It's made up of apricot-infused Scotch, vanilla, Madeira, citrus and Peychaud's bitters. It's rich and bright, refreshing and lingering. And yes,…it's very nice.
