Weather | Cooler temps, sunny skies on way
Milder days and cooler nights were expected over the next few days after a cold front brought showers across much of metro Atlanta on Tuesday.
Despite a break in the showers Tuesday afternoon as the afternoon commute approached, more showers were possible later and into the evening before clearing. Radar showed a line of showers entering west Georgia from Alabama.
After a starry night, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Glenn Burns said temperatures will be "comfortably cool" Wednesday morning with temperatures in the upper 50s. Sunshine will rule the day with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
As the weekend approaches, temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s with partly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s.
The winds may pick up Wednesday, with gusts as high as 15 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
