We’re heading for temperatures in the upper 60s Sunday, Channel 2 Action News meteorologists say.

“It’s going to be a warm day,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said. “A bit breezier today.”

Some neighborhoods may even feel temperatures in the 70-degree range.

In fact, “This is the third warmest winter on record,” Monahan said.

Temperatures about 4 p.m. were 66 degrees in Atlanta, 63 degrees in Blairsville and 68 degrees in LaGrange.

The warm weather is expected to stick around with rain showers and storms likely midweek.

A 70 percent chance rain and isolated storms Tuesday evening lessens to 30 percent Wednesday morning.
