While most people in the metro Atlanta area will stay dry, heavy rain is still possible, according to Channel 2 Action News.
“Don’t be fooled by blue skies,” meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
Showers were spotted early in Gwinnett and DeKalb counties as well as east and south of metro Atlanta, according to Channel 2.
Along with the rain, it was humid in metro Atlanta, with dew points in the 70s, according to Channel 2.
Currently, the temperature is 78 degrees.
Tuesday’s expected high is 87 degrees, with a 60 percent chance of rain.
The day should start out sunny, but stray showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon into the evening.
By the end of the week, highs return to the low 90s.
