Storms brought cooler temperatures and damage across metro Atlanta, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The National Weather Service confirmed a EF-0 tornado hit parts of Forsyth County on Monday morning, bringing downed trees to the area, Channel 2 reported. Winds reached between 75 and 85 mph.

Earlier, more than a dozen trees fell in Blairsville, one of several far North Georgia communities that was under a wind advisory until 8 p.m.

The storm is expected to lower temps into the mid-60s Monday night and mid-50s Tuesday morning.

Now that the storms have left, expect 80-degree weather to return mid week.

Wednesday could see a high of 84 degrees, but a cold front could be bring showers later in the week.

There is a 70 percent chance of rain Thursday with rain chances decreasing to 30 percent by Friday, Channel 2 reported.

Atlanta’s reached 74 degrees, short of the expected high of 77 degrees, which is one degree above the average for this time of year.

The current temperature is 72 degrees.

The pollen count is 142 particles of pollen per cubic meter of air, up from Sunday’s count of 113, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.
