Rain is coming, but it’s coming later.

Expect a cold front to keep most of the rain at bay Saturday, but there is a 30 percent rain chance in effect for Saturday and a 40 percent chance Sunday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“That (front’s) just going to take its time moving toward North Georgia, so that keeps the best chance of showers and storms to our north during the day on Saturday,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

Some metro areas picked up spotty showers throughout the day Friday. They are expected to become more numerous by 6 p.m. in northwest metro counties.

Highs are expected to stay in the low 90s until they drop Monday to the upper 80s.

Temperatures were 82 degrees in Atlanta, 76 in Blairsville and 78in Griffin at 9:50 p.m.
