The solar eclipse has finally come and gone — with mostly clear skies.

The few clouds remaining are expected to clear out overnight, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The temperature is 89 degrees, Channel 2 reported.

Channel 2 Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said the temperature dropped about 7 degrees in South Carolina, where he watched the eclipse.

The eclipse began in Atlanta about 1:05 p.m. and completed its trek across the United States by 4:01 p.m.

Tuesday morning will bring dry, clear skies.

By afternoon, mostly sunny skies will raise temperatures to a high of 90 degrees.

A 30 percent chance of isolated storms exists through evening.

Rain will increase steadily during the week, reaching a peak of a 40 percent chance Wednesday. Highs should remain in the low 90s through Thursday.
