If you’ve enjoyed the weather this week, you’ll be happy the next couple of days.

Hot afternoons, mild mornings and rain-free conditions will remain, according to Channel 2 Action News.

A few clouds developed Thursday on the Northside and in Rome.

“But that’s it,” meteorologist Brad Nitz said. “No rain. And these are not rain makers.”

Temperatures were 83 degrees in Atlanta, 72 degrees in Blairsville and 74 degrees in Griffin just after 9 p.m. Thursday.

Once the sun sets, temperatures will cool off “pretty rapidly with the dry air,” Nitz said.

“We’re not going to call it cool tomorrow morning. It won’t be. But it won’t be hot or oppressive. It won’t be all that muggy either.”

Humidity was at 49 percent at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Thursday, and humidity is expected to stay low.

The first chance of rain — and it’s a slim chance — is Sunday. The forecast calls for a 10 percent chance of rain on Sunday and Monday.
