Temperatures are beginning to decrease as voters continue to pack the polls this Election Day Tuesday.

Temps were 60 degrees in Atlanta, 53 in Blairsville and 53 in Griffin just before 8 p.m., according to Channel 2 Action News.

“For us on Election Day at noon, you’re going to see some high-level clouds and temperatures climbing through the middle 60s,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said. “So cool, but not too far from our average, 66 degrees.”

Any moisture the cold front brings will surge to the north of Georgia.

That means rain hitting states to the west of Georgia will fail to bring showers to metro Atlanta.

Expect high clouds and a high of 69 degrees instead, the television station reported.
