When Sheri and Jimmy Monger decided to build in west Cobb County, they had the Sunshine State on their mind. Their home is featured in Private Quarters, by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

From the bamboo to the Windmill palm trees, Jimmy and Sheri Monger's contemporary West Cobb home captures the best of South Florida living.

This striking glass door in the main entrance was hand-crafted by a Smyrna company.

The Mongers turned to Huff Furniture in Buckhead for all their contemporary needs.

In addition to stainless steel appliances, the kitchen features an island with extra-deep chef and vegetable sinks. Glass block windows provide extra light.

The sitting room offers a view of woods surrounding the Mongers' home.

The master bathroom features tray ceilings.

Daughter Ava Madison gets her own front row monkey seat in the family's home theater.

Ava Madison's room expands on the monkey theme. It resembles a scene from a children's storybook about adventures in a monkey-laden rain forest.

The heated pool includes a color wheel with remote for lighting and, thankfully, an automatic pool cleaner.

One llama, one goat and four pigs will provide little Ava with her personal petting zoo. The Mongers love animals and also have a farm in Bartow County.
