Teachers are sometimes taken for granted, but several hotels in Downtown Disney say teachers should be taken on vacation. To that end, seven resort area hotels in Walt Disney World are offering a special teacher appreciation rate for teachers and support staff.

The rate, available through Sept. 30, gives educators a chance to take in many special events, including the Epcot International Flower & Garden Show, Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the opening of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (a new family coaster at the Magic Kingdom,) and the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series at Epcot.

All the resorts are within walking distance of restaurants, shops and entertainment venues and provide complimentary shuttle service every 30 minutes to all Disney World theme parks, water parks and the Downtown Disney marketplace.

Guests also receive a Disney Deals booklet with coupons for restaurants, shops and entertainment.

Teacher appreciation rates include the following: Rooms from $99 at the B Resort; rooms from $89 at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel; rooms from $75 at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa; suites from $109 at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton; rooms from $89 at Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista; rooms from $94 at Holiday Inn Orlando – Lake Buena Vista; and rooms from $79 at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort.

Rates are based on availability, and some blackout dates may apply. Rates don't include the resort services fee or daily parking fee, taxes or gratuities. Teachers and school support staff will need to show proof of employment when they check-in.
