Holli Hines Easton and her husband, Ian, bought an old factory in Castleberry Hill and painstakingly converted it into a one-of-a-kind loft. The lounging area in the master bedroom has a mix of modern furniture and French antiques.

The zig-zagging staircase not only links the floors but also shows the expansiveness of the loft. Ian Easton and his stepfather, local builder B.J. Sharp, designed the work, which had to be delivered in pieces through a first-floor window.

Ivory tusks and buffalo horns add height and drama to the great room. The couple acknowledges the relics "are not politically correct," Ian Easton says. He inherited them from his grandfather, Addison Smith, who brought them back from a hunting trip to Africa with former Atlanta mayor Ivan Allen Jr. "You can't sell them," he says. "And I think they're beautiful."

An Andy Warhol image of Elvis Presley in triplicate hangs in the great room.

Modern Minotti sofas and antique chairs work as counterpoints in the great room, which is crowned by a Herve Van der Straeten chandelier.

The bulthaup kitchen has clean, modern lines.

Underneath the stairwell, abstract artwork by Ian Easton's mother Rosemary Sharp rests atop a cabinet.

The view from the staircase, between the first and second floors of the loft, showcases the home's openness.

A window in the master bedroom looks onto the loft's atrium. The window on the opposite wall overlooks the Georgia Dome.

A pastel palette injects a peaceful feeling into the master bedroom. The original brick wall and flooring of the factory space remain.

A soft-hued Salvadore Dali print that Ian gave to Holli for their first anniversary hangs in the master bedroom.

A mirror framed in corrugated steel brings the industrial style used in the home's exterior into the guest bathroom. The same material is used on the rooftop siding.

The "zen den" uses vibrant color and plenty of cushions for a leisurely lounge the Eastons can melt into.

Richard Schultz furniture adds contemporary style to the rooftop terrace, which includes a hot tub and an organic-shaped bar.
