Here’s a handful of today’s best airfare deals that will take you to playgrounds from coast to coast and in-between.
- Frontier Airlines offer frequent nonstop flights to Denver, Colo. at one-way rates of $98.80 on trips finished on or before March 17, 2013. The deal is valid on any day of the week and there are no blackout dates to avoid. A nice bonus is that there is no advance purchase notice required - so go as soon as this week.
- AirTran also offers one-way travel to Denver at $98.80 through March 17, 2013, but with the following blackout dates: Nov. 20, 21, 24-26; Dec. 20-Jan. 7, 2013; Feb. 14, 15, 18, 2013. AirTran requires a one-week advance purchase.
- Head to sunny Florida on AirTran and at one-way rates of $108.80. To qualify, give a one-week or more advance notice of travel. Trips must be finished on or before April 12, 2013. A big bonus is no blackout dates. Treat yourself to a winter getaway under the palm trees!
- America's favorite city, San Francisco, is another hot sale destination on AirTran. One-way rates of $125.80 are valid on trips finished on or before April 12, 2013. Give at least a two-week advance notice of travel. Trips are permitted any day of the week, and there are no blackout dates to avoid. A one-hour drive north to Napa Valley makes for a romantic autumn getaway.
- Take a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico through Nov. 15 at one-way rates of $129.70. This AirTran exclusive is valid any day of the week when tickets are booked one-week or more in advance. Check out the savings on island lodging at www.bookit.com/caribbean/puerto-rico.
Sale airfares are always subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase.
Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer does not have a “ticket-by” date or when the offer is deemed “sold out.”
I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel websites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc.
