Anticipation for No. 1-seed John Isner’s match loomed large throughout Wednesday at the BB&T Atlanta Open at Atlantic Station.

But the other matches saw their fair share of action and bracket busters, too.

Dan Evans and Radu Adbolt played for about two hours in extra sets. And in the end, Evans, of the United Kingdom, defeated Adbolt in the tiebreak to win. He earned 104 points as opposed to Adbolt’s 96 points. It also was the second upset of the day, as Evans knocked off the No. 6 seed.

Earlier, Alexei Popyrin of Australia defeated No. 4-seed Pierre-Hugues Herbert of France 7-5, 6-3. Popyrin had seven aces, while Hebert had four. Popyrin also earned 11 more points than his opponent -- he scored 72 while Hebert earned 61.

Later, Cameron Norrie of the United Kingdom defeated Kwon Soon-woo 6-3, 6-4. Both earned four aces, but Norrie won 56 points compared with Soon-woo’s 45.
