Vanderbilt baseball reacts to the Braves selection of pitcher Kyle Wright
The Vanderbilt baseball couldn’t have been happier for right-handed pitcher Kyle Wright on Monday night when he was selected No. 5 overall in the 2017 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves.
Vanderbilt Baseball posted a video on Twitter on Monday of Wright, a 6-foot-4, 220 pound junior from Huntsville, Ala., surrounded by his Commodore teammates. When Wright’s name was announced on TV, his teammates surround him and congratulate the newest Atlanta Brave.
Wright will join former Commodore Dansby Swanson in Atlanta.
