1. Braves beat Nationals, 13-2

The Braves won the road series against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday night 13-2 thanks to a season-high of four hits by Brandon Phillips and three hits by both Ender Inciarte and Nick Markakis. The Braves have Thursday off and will return to SunTrust Park over the weekend for a three-game series against the Marlins.

3. Atlanta United defeats Charleston Battery in U.S. Open Cup at Kennesaw State

After a lightening delay pushed the start of the match back 2 1/2 hours, Atlanta United advanced in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday night with a win over the Charleston Battery 3-2 at Kennesaw State's Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Atlanta United's Kevin Kratz, Josef Martinez and Brandon Vazquez scored goals in the win.

4. Atlanta United, Columbus Crew match sold out

Atlanta United's Saturday match against Columbus Crew is sold out. This marks the sixth-straight sellout for Atlanta United during their inaugural season.

5. Jones, Ryan named among top 10 players of 2017

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Julio Jones were ranked in the top 10 players of 2017 by CBS Sports' Pete Prisco. Jones landed at No. 6 while Ryan landed at No. 8.
