Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Julio Jones prepare to play the Houston Texans on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, in Atlanta.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and quarterback Matt Ryan were named two of the top 10 NFL players of 2017.

On CBS Sports'  Pete Prisco's list of the NFL's top 100 players in 2017, Jones landed at No. 6 and Ryan at No. 8. The only other team with two players in the top 10 was the New England Patriots who were represented by quarterback Tom Brady (No. 2) and tight end Rob Gronkowski (No. 10).

Prisco ranked Ryan at No. 8 because of the respect he earned after being named League MVP and leading the Falcons to the Super Bowl last season.

Jones is ranked at No. 6 because of how good he makes Matt Ryan look.

“It helps Matt Ryan to have the best receiver in the league,” Prisco wrote. “Jones is big, strong, fast and a handful for any defensive back who dares cover him in a one-on-one situation.”

First on Prisco's list was Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
