April 24, 2018The roof of Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be closed for Saturday’s MLS game between host Atlanta United and Montreal.
The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. and the weather forecast predicts a zero percent chance of rain and high temperature of 73 degrees.
However, the current construction schedule for automation work on the roof will necessitate that it remain closed for the match. The roof is scheduled to be operational sometime around Memorial Day.
The roof was opened for one of Atlanta United’s 13 games so far at the $1.5 billion stadium. That came against Toronto on Oct. 22, 2017.
