Report: Rams, Todd Gurley finalizing 4-year, $60 million contract extension

The Los Angeles Rams and running back Todd Gurley are finalizing a four-year, $60 million contract, according to a report Tuesday by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter reported the contract will guarantee $45 million.
Gurley’s contract extension— which becomes the biggest long-term contract among NFL running backs— surpasses Devonta Freeman’s $41.25 million contract extension with the Atlanta Falcons which guaranteed $22 million.

Gurley, a former Georgia running back who was drafted 10th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft by the former St. Louis Rams, is coming off the best season in his three-year career which earned him the League’s Offensive Player of the Year award.
In his third year with the Rams, Gurley recorded career highs in rushing— 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns— and receiving, 788 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.
