Atlanta United loanee Alex Tambakis had a rough night in goal for Charleston Battery on Friday.

Tambakis allowed three goals in a 3-2 loss at Rochester.

He hadn’t played in the previous two games because of a minor knee injury.

Friday’s was his first game back in the lineup.

On Rochester’s first goal, Tambakis came out of goal to try to defend a cross. According to the Battery’s website, he “got caught in no man’s land” and the Rhinos were able to score.

The second goal came from a rebound. Tambakis blocked the initial shot, but the ball bounced right to a Rochester forward for the easy goal.

The third goal came on a penalty kick.

After shut outs in his first two games, he has allowed six goals in his past two games. For the season, Tambakis has allowed seven goals in five games. He has 17 saves and a save percentage of 70.8.
