I finally got a starting lineup for Atlanta United correct last week. Yeah, for me.

I don’t think manager Gerardo Martino will make any changes this week against D.C. United for Sunday’s game at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium.

It would be natural to assume that Julian Gressel may move back into the starting 11 after coming in as a sub in last week’s 3-1 win at Real Salt Lake. Gressel started the first season’s first six games.

However, Martino said after that game that he thought Jeff Larentowicz and Carlos Carmona had a good partnership at midfield. That would indicate he is going to keep them together this week.

Because D.C. United will likely bunker in, it seems logical that Kenwyne Jones will get his third consecutive start. A bigger target, he can knock down crosses to teammates in or near the penalty box.
