Team that departs quickly: West Virginia. This is a grind-it-out team that has trouble scoring. Clemson will beat UAB in their First Four matchup and will beat the Mountaineers at their own, defensive-minded game.
My dark horse: Xavier. If you can call the only other team in the country (Michigan State is the other) to play in the Sweet 16 the last three years a dark horse.
Sweet 16 choices: Ohio State, Kentucky, Xavier, North Carolina. Ohio State and Kentucky bring momentum from winning their conference tournaments, and North Carolina played some of the best basketball down the stretch. And Xavier has laid claim to the Sweet 16 the past three years, why not again?
Final Four selection: Ohio State.
My favorite to cut the nets: Ohio State. The Buckeyes don't have much depth, but who needs it when you have such a great starting five?
