NFL.com's College Football 24/7 is counting down what its writers consider to be college football's best in the 15 for '15 series. Georgia tailback Nick Chubb checks in at No. 3 on two lists: best offensive players and Heisman Trophy candidates.

In the best offensive player category, Chubb ranks behind TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin and Ole Miss offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil. Chase Goodbread writes about Chubb:

There has to be a drop-off in the Georgia backfield with Todd Gurley moving on to the NFL, right? Maybe not. The Georgia rushing attack didn't even flinch with Chubb as the primary rusher while Gurley missed time with an injury and a suspension. The freshman ripped off eight consecutive 100-yard games, and gashed a Louisville defense that produced six 2015 NFL Draft picks for 266 yards in the Belk Bowl. The best year Gurley ever had at Georgia was his freshman season in 2012 (1,385 yards in 12 starts). Chubb sat behind Gurley for the first five weeks last year, then piled up 1,547 in just eight starts.

On its Heisman list CFB 24/7 places Chubb behind Boykin and the Ohio State QB duo of J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones, who are treated as one entry. Writes Mike Huguenin about Chubb:

Todd Gurley's suspension and subsequent injury opened the door for Chubb, who broke through and left the door in splinters. Chubb led the Bulldogs and was second in the SEC with 1,547 rushing yards, and he tied for the league lead in rushing TDs with 14. He is a tough inside runner with good speed and carries a streak of eight consecutive 100-yard games into this season; he hit the 200-yard mark twice last season, including a 266-yard outing in a rout of Louisville in the Belk Bowl.

Georgia did not place any players on the two other top 15 lists published by CFB 24/7 so far: top defensive players and impact transfers.

Three ex-Bulldogs appear on the impact transfer list: safety Tray Matthews is third, safety Josh Harvey-Clemons is fourth and cornerback Shaq Wiggins is 10th. Matthews is at Auburn while Harvey-Clemons and Wiggins are at Louisville.

So far no Georgia Tech players appear on any of the CFB 24/7 top 15 lists.
