More than 70,000 tickets were sold and distributed for Atlanta United’s game against New York Red Bulls in the MLS Eastern Conference finals on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The actual total of 70,016 failed to break the MLS playoff record of 70,526 that Atlanta United set against NYCFC on Nov. 11, 2018.

Atlanta United led MLS in attendance for the second consecutive season with a record-breaking average of 53,002 tickets sold and distributed. It averaged 48,200 last season.
