Rosters for the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association junior and senior all-star teams have been announced. The boys teams include Greenville senior and UGA-bound Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Milton junior Evan Nolte, while the girls teams include Buford junior Andraya Carter, committed to Tennessee, and senior Sydney Wallace of Northview.

The North's senior boys will be coached by Kennesaw Mountain's Jessie Bonner, while the South will be led by Marvin Fields of Westside-Augusta. The North's junior boys coach will be Chamblee's Caesar Burgess, the South's junior squad will be led by Darron Rogers of Westlake. For the girls junior teams, Douglas County's Chet Forsh and Effingham County's Karl DeMasi will coach the North and South, respectively, while Union County's Jim Hughes will coach the North seniors and Westside-Macon's Deb Baber will lead the South team. The games will be played March 26 at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah.

Boys

Shaw junior center Torrian Brummitt registered one of the more dominating performances of the season, scoring 33 points and grabbing 21 rebounds in the Raiders' 77-46 win over Central-Carrollton in the first round of the Region 6-AAA tournament Wednesday. ... Jeff Blanton, Jordan's 5-foot-8 junior point guard, is the state's leading scorer this season at 30 points per game. He scored 36 to lead the Red Jackets to an 83-47 romp over Heard County in the first round of the Region 5-AA tournament Tuesday. ... Greater Atlanta Christian senior Malcolm Brogdon led Gwinnett County in scoring (26 points per game) and rebounding (12 per game) this season. ... Fayette County senior guard Adam Smith, committed to UNC-Wilmington, scored 37 points to lead the Tigers, ranked No. 3 in Class AAAA, to an 80-68 win over Griffin in the first round of the Region 3-AAAA tournament Wednesday.

Girls

Though her team was upset in the first round of the state playoffs Wednesday, Southwest DeKalb coach Kathy Walton earned career victory No. 200 in the final game of the regular season. Walton, who had led the Panthers to the past three Class AAAA state titles, has a career record of 200-61. ... Seniors Ciera Staten of Echols County, Brittany Witt of Winder-Barrow and Keyona Benton of M.L. King all reached the 1,000-point mark for their careers during the final week of the regular season. ... Norcross sophomore Diamond DeShields led Gwinnett County in scoring this season (19 points per game) and was in the top 10 in the county in assists, at three per game. ... Westlake senior center Ashley Johnson led the state in rebounding this season with 16 per game.

7.5 : Seconds left in overtime when Miller Grove sophomore Klarissa Weaver sank two free throws to propel the Wolverines to a 43-41 upset win over previously unbeaten Chamblee in the Region 6-AAAA tournament. The Bulldogs were the top seed in the tournament and ranked No. 1 in Class AAAA.
