Bill Luckie has resigned as head coach of Northgate in Newnan. He was 20-31 in five seasons.

Northgate was 3-7 this year and lost a Region 5-AAAA play-in game to Mays 35-32 last week.

Northgate opened in 1998 and reached the quarterfinals of Class AA in 2000 but has made the playoffs three times since, each time losing in the first round.

Luckie is the second coach reported to have resigned since the regular season ended. Effingham County coach Jack Webb resigned on Monday.
