The start wasn’t the problem for McDonough Creekside Christian, as it began with a 24-21 edge over Newnan Heritage through the end of the first quarter.

The Hawks’ shooting darted in front for a 44-39 lead over the Cougars at the half.

McDonough Creekside Christian moved ahead of Newnan Heritage 58-57 to start the fourth quarter.

The Hawks rebounded from a late deficit, outscoring the Cougars 23-14 in the last stanza for the victory.

In recent action on Jan. 6, McDonough Creekside Christian faced off against Atlanta Riverwood Intl Charter.
