Class AAAAAA No. 1 Johns Creek lost two one-run games last week, but managed to add a victory against Centennial.

South Forsyth scored four runs in the sixth inning and capitalized on five Johns Creek errors to come back from an 8-5 deficit. A two-run single by junior Nate Schmal in the fifth helped the visiting War Eagles. Johns Creek rebounded Monday with a 9-3 victory against visiting Centennial. Matthew Gorst got the win with five innings of work and two earned runs. Brandon Gold had a double and three RBIs, and Justin Friend knocked in two runs.

The Gladiators visited West Forsyth on Wednesday and lost 4-3 as Alex DeCubellis scored on a wild pitch in the fifth inning to give the Wolverines a lead they would not relinquish. Zack Bitzer earned the victory for West Forsyth with five innings of work and two earned runs.

Lacrosse: No. 7 Chattahoochee has won seven consecutive gamest entering Friday night's matchup with South Forsyth. The Cougars took apart North Forsyth (13-2) on Monday and West Forsyth (11-5) on Saturday. The Cougars received four goals from sophomore Daniel Wilson, and Jack Cioffi had three goals and three assists.

Tennis: Wesleyan and St. Pius split matches last week. The St. Pius boys defeated Wesleyan 4-1, while the Wesleyan girls won 4-1. Sophia and Savannah Strickland and Saray Setplage each won a singles match for Wesleyan, and the doubles team of Kaitlin English-Leila Jordan also picked up a win. … Hillgrove's Matt Hill has signed to play tennis at UAB.
